The EEOC’s 2021 EEO‐1 Component 1 data collection is tentatively scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. On March 29th at 2 pm ET, NILG will host a webinar presented by Kimberly Essary, Deputy Chief Data Officer, and Paul Guerino, Director of the Data Development and Information Products Division, from the EEOC’s Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics (OEDA) which administers the agency’s EEO data collections. Kimberly and Paul will discuss the latest updates to the 2021 EEO‐1 Component 1 data collection, including streamlined processes for submitting help desk inquiries and for reporting acquisitions, spinoffs, and mergers.

Kimberly serves as the Deputy Chief Data Officer of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics (OEDA) and is a member of the federal government’s Senior Executive Service (SES). Kimberly has served in several high‐level roles at the EEOC since she joined the agency in 2009 as a career attorney‐advisor. Prior to joining the EEOC, Kimberly served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor and worked in private practice at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, D.C. She holds a J.D., with honor, from the University of Maryland School of Law and an A.B. from Smith College.

Paul Guerino

Paul serves as the Director of the Data Development and Information Products Division of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics (OEDA). Prior to joining the EEOC, Paul’s career has spanned both the public and private sectors. Most recently, he served as the Director of Data Analytics at the American Hospital Association. He has also had oversight roles encompassing national data collection and research at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Bureau of Justice Statistics. He holds an M.S. in Survey Methodology from the Joint Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, and a B.S. in Sociology from Pennsylvania State University.
