SUMMARY:What Federal Contractors Need to Know: The New Executive Order on DEI Discrimination and False Claims Act Enforcement
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a webinar:\nVirtual Only \nOn March 26\, 2026\, President Trump signed an Executive Order requiring all federal contracts subject to the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act to include a clause prohibiting “racially discriminatory DEI activities”—and designating compliance as material to the government’s payment decisions under the False Claims Act. SUMMARY:Think Your Pay Equity Strategy Works Everywhere? Rethinking Compliance in the U.S. and EU
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a webinar:\nVirtual Only \nAs pay transparency and pay equity requirements continue to expand across the United States\, employers are facing an increasingly complex landscape of overlapping state and local obligations. This webinar will provide a clear\, practical overview of the rapidly evolving legal framework—from salary range disclosure laws and pay data reporting mandates to equal pay statutes\, posting requirements\, and restrictions on the use of salary history. We will explore the most recent legislative trends\, highlight high-impact enforcement actions\, and break down how these rules differ across jurisdictions. Participants will also gain actionable guidance on building a compliant\, consistent\, and defensible pay equity strategy. The session will address best practices for auditing pay structures\, preparing for multi-state compliance\, improving documentation\, mitigating legal risk\, and effectively communicating compensation practices to employees and applicants. Whether your organization operates in a single state or nationwide\, this webinar will equip HR\, compliance\, and legal professionals with the tools needed to navigate the full spectrum of pay transparency and equity obligations. Think your U.S. pay equity strategy works in Europe? Think again. The EU Pay Transparency Directive is the most disruptive pay equity law in decades\, introducing sweeping new requirements\, legal risk\, and direct conflicts with U.S. norms. It applies even if you have just one employee in the EU\, and takes effect in 2026. But its ripple effects are broader\, reshaping global expectations around transparency and fairness. We’ll cover some surprises about what the Directive demands\, where transposition stands\, and share five field-tested insights\, legal landmines\, and lessons from the front lines. \nPresentation Slides: \nU.S. and EU Pay Equity and Transparency Update \nNILG Presentation – U.S. and EU Legal Landscape\nRecording:\nhttps://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/zDQxgD3FN1zGRzP7mW5SYVe0EKat3Lluj_BgvPcYTUeYhTC8IEKcsPV31PIDhRMA.ZyoASfqZnfqXteNp?startTime=1768320085000

SUMMARY:What Still Matters: Reclaiming Veteran and Disability Inclusion Amid Uncertainty
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a webinar:\nVirtual Only \nBetween the rollback of EO 11246’s DEI components and proposed changes to Section 503\, federal contractors are facing serious uncertainty. However\, VEVRAA and Section 503 remain in effect\, and merely meeting the bare minimum is insufficient. \nIn this timely and practical session\, Meaghan Walls (CEO\, Center for Disability Inclusion) and Rob Arndt (Marine Corps Veteran and CEO\, BufferSprings) bring their combined expertise to help employers understand what still matters\, what’s changing\, and how to stay ahead of it all. \nTogether\, they’ll walk through the current landscape\, potential regulatory shifts\, and the real-world risks of pulling back on inclusion efforts. This won’t be a legal lecture. It’s a straight-shooting\, outcomes-focused conversation about what it takes to stay compliant\, competitive\, and committed to your people. \nThis session will also include opportunities for the audience to weigh in and reflect\, helping to bring key challenges and blind spots to the surface in real-time. \nLearning Objectives: \nParticipants will: \n(1) Understand the current state of VEVRAA and Section 503\, including what has changed\, what is proposed\, and what still applies. \n(2) Identify common breakdowns in veteran and disability outreach\, job postings\, self-ID collection\, and accommodation practices. \n(3) Assess the risks of scaling back inclusion efforts and what that means for audit exposure\, trust\, and retention. \n(4) Translate compliance requirements into clear\, people-first strategies that work. \n(5) Leave with actionable steps to strengthen internal processes\, stay ahead of enforcement shifts\, and build inclusive systems that last. \nPresentation Deck:  Military-Effective and Disability-Inclusive What Still Matters in 2025- BufferSprings & CDI \nRecording: https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/632l9IClIWYPpv04jBKgBfErVDixhnHp3GcTE2-Jnyv1NO9vodWUKluEt7WhHZe_.9NHPa_kKaqSvTQYf?startTime=1763487053000

SUMMARY:Celebrating Value and Talent: Supporting Employees through Stay-at-Work/Return-to-Work Programs
DESCRIPTION:Every employee brings unique value and talents to the workplace. Each year\, millions of U.S. workers experience illness or injury that challenges their ability to work and how they work. Employers can implement stay-at-work/return-to-work (SAW/RTW) strategies and programs to get many of these employees back on the job sooner\, continuing to contribute their talents in the workplace after illness or injury occurs. These strategies help workers who experience an injury or illness to remain at work or return to work by intervening early to provide coordinated health care and employment services. This year’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme\, “Celebrating Value and Talent\,” highlights the importance of creating workplaces where employees with disabilities can thrive. SAW/RTW programs make this ideal a reality by helping employers retain skilled workers\, including workers with disabilities. \nJoin the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability (EARN) and the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) for this special NDEAM 80th anniversary webinar. SUMMARY:Yes\, Monitoring HR Outcomes is a Sound Business Practice - What Employers Should be Doing with their Employment Data
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a webinar:\nVirtual Only \nThe recent seismic changes in the HR legal environment have appropriately raised the question of what\, if anything\, companies should be doing with their HR data.  However\, while some changes at the federal level in enforcement priorities may suggest a lesser need to analyze employment practices\, the heightened federal focus on antidiscrimination law certifications for federal contractors and grant recipients\, along with state regulators’ enforcement activities and private litigation\, generally support a continued focus on these practices.  More importantly\, keeping an eye on employment outcomes is about ensuring the optimal utilization of companies’ most important resource\, their people.  In this session\, we will discuss the current HR legal environment and potential developments\, as well as best practices for monitoring your HR data.\n\n\nPresenters: Craig Leen and Valentin Estevez\n\nRecording: https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/eV9vycEzQOiISlWn4LGqsmskIDVvh6-bwsPvNg3MM4sEIzZEewesMS7NU7cxcEUo.q6CAZCYYVn4jcaFS?startTime=1755010844000\nPresentation Slides: 2025.08.12_NILG_HR_Data_Analyses\nAnswered Questions: NILG Webinar FAQs – Aug 12 2025 Final\n\nREGISTER NOW >>
